The task with STK was to reinvent the traditional steakhouse, blending it with a downtown lounge to make it more female-friendly. So we took classic steak house staples and reinvented them: the cozy hearth was reinterpreted as a 10-foot tall lavender-glass fireplace, and traditional cattle horns were reborn as a white flowing sculpture that emerges from above the bar. Portion sizes were made smaller, menu offerings became healthier, and STK was born as a sultry, sleek, sensual and welcoming nightlife destination.
